This remodel transformed the awkward facade of a 70’s rambler into a quality home with a gracefully stepped presence.

The high windows in the raised foyer area bring natural light into the powder room.  A lower level garage and recreation room were incorporated into an addition on the west end, giving a base for the expanded family room, kitchen, and dining area on the main level above.

The home underwent an extensive energy upgrade during the remodel process, including air sealing, increased insulation, new windows, and a new heating system.  In addition, the footprint is U-shaped around a west-facing courtyard, and the south slope of the hidden roof is fitted with photovoltaic and solar hot water panels.
